Thai cultural wealth can be seen as a potential source of inspiration for global design industries. With regard to cultural appropriation and ethics, design exploration can make the culture more adaptive to the globalization era while maintaining its respect to local context. Thus, the exploitation of culture should be done cautiously, as the cultural complexity and sensitivities are deeply relate to the local beliefs which consequently affect how Thais perceive the designed product. In order to purpose new paradigm of Thai cultural commodification in relation with spatial design, cross-cultural adaptation can be made to manage these sensitivities in order to make the cultural values more relatable for global designers.
