Each year, one-third of the food we produce is lost or wasted, and this presents a serious problem for the food supply chain. The “Food Cycle Hub” is an experiential prototype aimed to raise awareness of food waste and surplus food management with most exciting and innovative experiences. It offers a stage for people to explore the complex food system that brings what we eat from farm to fork. With opportunities to see and feel the real food supply systems, taste the sustainable treats in the open kitchen, discover the opportunities and tools for the recovery or reuse of the surplus food, visitors can examine the intersection of food, nature, culture, health, and history, and consider some of the most challenging issues of our time.
