Evol’wood
From ancient times to the present, wood has had a significant impact on mankind. This unique material, preferred by the first inhabitants of the earth, is still the most widely used in architecture and design. With the depletion of natural resources caused by mankind, is it still conceivable to transform this widespread and significant substance into a more sustainable than it is? The most important source of inspiration for this should not be difficult to find in “nature”. By merging the Biomimesis method with nature, sustainable designs can be achieved. Evol’wood is an experimental bio hub that focusing second life of wood and bio-materials. This hub investigates new innovations of unsustainable processes of wood with FLA network. This Research and Development Center analyses potential usage of wood and bio-materials, collection and protection of wood waste; plans to usage of second life of wood to create space for hosting human activities.
