Chạm means touch in the Vietnamese language. “Chạm ” project is the development of three different categories of retails using the cooperation research with Cleaf focusing on a laminate surface, which reflects and transforms the sensory diversity of each country culture into the sense of touch. The three retail stores emphasize the strong identities of Vietnam not only through the local architecture principles, or the use of traditional – innovative material but also through senses, interactions, and experiences. The spaces are a refreshing and imaginative combination of Vietnam Local sources of inspiration as street vendor booths-liveliness open spaces filled with dynamic light, which is also multifunctional and flexible. By investigating these aspects, the project aims to bring to users the full sensory awareness of Vietnam culture in space.
