The noise pollution in Monza Circuit and the sound-scape solution
Sara Berardo
The Monza Eni Circuit is worldly well-known for motorsports events, but it is also a place of scientific and technological research. Experimentations, made in the past decades, are now part of our everyday life and visitors are not aware of it.
My work would focus on the noise pollution problem. The sound is a “soundmark” of the circuit, especially during big events like Formula One, however, it is a source of health and natural difficulties too. For these reasons I would like to emphasize the positive and adrenalin value of sound, reducing the negative impact on the context. The noise control would create an appropriate place to host different typologies of visitants and events, and a better connection between the natural part of the park and the artificial part of the car racing circuit.
