MOO – A collateral exhibition under the interspecies paradigm
Javiera Ignacia Schumacher Henriquez
There is undeniable evidence that human activities have fundamentally destabilized ecosystems and altered life across the planet. The following research explores the potential of exhibition spaces, namely museums, fairs, or galleries, to engage in narratives to generate a less anthropocentric understanding of the world and change our perspective of other species.
“MOO” is a collateral exhibition for the International Livestock Fair of CremonaFiere under the paradigm of multi-species. Eight pavilions are designed from a system composed of elements that seek to generate new spaces of encounter and question the aesthetic sensibility and artistic agency as only a human capacity. The proposal defend the radical idea that animal are people and people are animals.
