The article defines what is a retail design, explores the recent shifts in the retail design paradigms and describes the main characteristics of today’s retailing. The main problem is to predict what will be the retail design in antivirus era. So, the following questions are touched: what will be the main demands of people? Will physical retail spaces still be necessary and exist after COVID-19 era? If yes, how will they be transformed? The analysis is based on overlapping the theoretical information about the retail design development from the moment of its appearance with the events we are living today, during the COVID-19 era, and making predictions about the possible tendencies for the future.
